Saturday's Big Idea

Today you heard John and Richard challenge us in regard to prayer. And maybe in the worship time or even during the breaks you had a spiritual breakthrough about how prayer makes a difference.

What was that Big Idea you picked up today that you will take home, meditate on and hopefully share with others?

"I don't think God is paying attention to our prayers in this nation today".

Lk. 9:37-46

Our pattern of thinking gets stuck in a mode [for the disciples it was who was going to be the greatest in the Kingdom] and it never registers with us what Jesus is all about.

What's my MO? My church's?

Until something comes along and interrupts that mode we're stuck.

Worry mode.
Unforgiveness mode.
Comfort mode.
Materialism mode. The 2 greatest hindrances to revival today are the loss of the fear of God and materialism.

And if we're caught in modes and patterns that keep us from fully following the voice of God we'll miss His will.

John 4

If Jesus is going to bring revival to a community, who would he start with?

One person had an encounter with God that changed her life and soon a whole community came to Jesus.

Who will Jesus use? Are you...
1. Ordinary
2. Passionate
3. Committed to the Word of God
4. Committed to prayer
5. Committed to working with others
6. Willing to pay the price
7. Filled with the Holy Spirit
8. Giving God the glory?
